Machine Guns Vegas: The Ultimate Desert Shooting Experience

MVGSo you’re living it up in Las Vegas for the week. Which should you hit up first? Maybe you’ll check out one of the casinos, or take in a show. Well, how would you like to fire a few rounds downrange from the gun of your choice?

One of Vegas’ newest attractions offers just that. Machine Guns Vegas, located just a half-mile from the Strip, offers an upscale lounge atmosphere complete with skimpily clad hostesses who offer you a menu of guns.

“They have a lot of weapons you wouldn’t be able to find back where I’m from,” Chris Neveu told the New York Times. “Such as the — well, you can see them all around the room: the M-4, the M-16, the M-249 — a lot of exotic weapons.”

No kidding. Not only does MGV feature a wide range of historical artifacts like the Thompson machine gun, but patrons can also pick out one-of-a-kind guns used only by Navy SEALs. Not a bad deal.

The range offers various packages — from the $39.95 Kids package to the $699 Compound package — plus additional perks like shooting the VIP range, photos with the guns and a DVD of you firing a few rounds.

The hostesses up front holding iPads and wearing skin-tight clothing may be great to look at, but in the range, it’s all business. Managing partner Genghis Cohen told the Times that the range masters were all veterans with plenty of firearms experience; they know what they’re doing.

“We have girls who work for us who are veterans, and have very successful modeling careers,” he said. “But they are also ex-veterans. The reason we did that is we didn’t want someone to say, ‘Ah, you just went to a strip club and got a bunch of strippers and gave them guns,’ That’s not what we did. We have veterans that are officially trained in the military in the use of firearms.”

    Now on my bucket list.

Will try that next time I am in Vegas. But bottom line, will go there or Discount Firearms but will never go back to the Gun Store LV as they are right down rude and all they want is your money. "Fun" is out of the equation at the Gun Store LV .

I just hope the regular folks who visit can afford to enjoy the place.
