Browning Long Range Hunter

Of most interest from Browning is a new A-Bolt version—the Long Range Hunter. It’s fitted with a 26-inch, fluted, medium-heavy, free-floated barrel and is hand-chambered in four top long-range hunting cartridges: 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm Rem. Mag., .300 Win. Mag., and .300 Ultra Mag. It’s available with blued steel and black synthetic stock ($910), blued with gray laminate stock ($970), and stainless steel with Mossy Oak Brush camo stock ($1,070).

Also new this year, the X-Bolt is offered in .375 H&H Magnum. Price: $1,070 (Medallion) or $940 (Hunter).

    I want the new Colt AR in .308 Win (Expert 18)! I like the direct impingement for accuracy factors, but not for serious work like combat. Since there is little chance of that, this should do wonderfully!

    As much as I admire Mossberg for having the balls to make the 464 SPX, I don't think I could go there and I love synthetic stocks. I like shooters built for the field rather than works of art.

    My wish is that some company, like Mossberg, will come up with an economy working man's double rifle (side by side) chambered in 444 Marlin, with a straight grip, synthetic stocks, matte black finish, ghost ring sights, hammerless with a single trigger and a tang mounted safety. I would be really happy if the buttstock held 10 extra rounds, five internally and 5 in a removable-replaceable (left / right) exterior carrier. I sent a letter to H&R asking for this but so far, no reply. Can I get an Amen?

    Addressing the sub title , I'm in the market for a new rifle every year , I just can't afford it ! HAHAHAHAHAHA
    That out of the way , of the offerings in this line up , I would seriously consider the T/C Dimension . I think the T/C is an extremely good value in light of it's versatility . The fact that the Colt LE901-16S is a .308 upper on a 5.56 lower makes me salivate …… I might have to check the seat cushions to see if I can find any loose change ! HAHAHAHAHA

    First off, I'd have to agree with Alan_T's comment of "being in the market every year…" The T/C Dimension has the most to offer those of us not rich enough to have all the guns we'd like to have, and if any gun company could pull it off, it is definitely T/C, as they have already proven themselves with their handgun legacy.
