Shooting Times is pleased to welcome Allan Jones as a regular columnist.

After 20 years as the author and editor of Speer Reloading Manuals 12 through 14, Allan retired from CCI/Speer last year. Prior to that, he spent 16 years as a forensic firearms examiner in the Dallas County (Texas) Crime Lab. Recognizing his extensive firearms, ballistics, and reloading experience, Editor Joel Hutchcroft and I were in immediate agreement that we needed Allan on the team. I don't know how he did it, but through a series of phone calls, Joel convinced Allan to accept the position of ballistics editor.

Allan's new column, "Going Ballistic!" premieres in the July issue on page 12. We hope you'll enjoy it, and his future contributions as much as us.
