Ruger 50th Anniversary 10/22

To commemorate 50 years of production of the 10/22, Sturm, Ruger & Co. conducted a contest among its customers. People were invited to design a 10/22 to their own specifications and then submit a photo and the description to Ruger. A panel of Ruger judges then narrowed down the entries to the top 10 designs. Those 10 designs were posted on the Ruger website, and visitors were allowed to vote on the one they liked best. The winner was Gary of Michigan, and his design is being produced by the company and offered as the 50th Anniversary model. The special model features an 18.5-inch stainless-steel barrel and natural silver-colored alloy receiver, a black synthetic stock, and military-style sights. The stock has replaceable comb-and-butt units (like Ruger's American Rimfire bolt-action rifle), and the barrel has a flash suppressor. The receiver features a Picatinny-style scope-mount rail.
