BSA Optics has introduced a new series of scopes that use a Mil Dot reticle and are designed primarily for target shooters and varmint hunters. The series includes five configurations: 4-16X40mm, 6-24X40mm, and 8-32X40mm models with the standard Mil Dot reticle and 4-16X40mm and 6-24X40mm models with an illuminated reticle. The illuminated reticle glows bright red when activated and is useful when shooting against dark backgrounds. An 11-position rheostat controls the reticle’s brightness, and when illumination is not need it functions as an ordinary Mil Dot reticle. Other features include adjustable objective lenses, finger adjustable “reset to zero” windage and elevation knobs, 1/8 MOA adjustments, and a multicoated lens system. The nitrogen-filled scope chambers are multiple sealed to make them waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof. The scopes have a nonreflective black finish. Suggested retail prices of the Mil Dot scopes range from $149.95 to $199.95.
