DKG Dupleks 12-Gauge Slugs

DKG Dupleks 12-Gauge Slugs

DKG Trading, Inc. is now offering the new Dupleks 12-gauge, 2¾-inch shotgun slugs from Latvia in four different loadings. These slugs are not traditional lead. They are lathed steel with a galvanized coating, and they are formed into a distinctive hour-glass shape, which, according to DKG, stabilizes the slug aerodynamically and reduces possible ricochet and deflection. The slug bodies are corseted with a polymer that has been applied under pressure, resulting in slug loads that are highly accurate with lubricity that enhances velocity, defeats fouling, and can be fired through smooth or rifled barrels of any choke size.

The Monolit 28 1-ounce load powers a 435-grain slug at 1,460 fps. The Monolit 32 is loaded with a 495-grain slug. The Dupo 28, with a rated velocity of 1,460 fps, expands to 1.2 inches upon impact and produces a six-point starburst. The Hexolit 32 deploys six splinters ("mini-bullets") upon impact to maximize effectiveness.
