Introducing the Nighthawk Custom T4

Introducing the Nighthawk Custom T4

Nighthawk Custom introduced its brand new 1911 at the 2013 SHOT Show in Las Vegas — the Nighthawk Custom T4. This Officer-sized pistol is built on a Commander frame, with a 3.8-inch slide built with the Commander stroke length. The T4 slide features reverse cuts on both ends, making it easy to rack from either end. The T4 features Heinie tritium night sights, a crowned barrel, a full-length guide rod and a flat-wire recoil system, which improves the life of the pistol's recoil springs — with this system, the T4 should run about 2,000 rounds before the springs should be replaced. Like all Nighthawk Custom pistols, the T4 features all fully machined parts, from the slide to the mag releases. The T4 retails for $3,350. Check out the video from SHOT Show.

The painful part about Brian Lohman Manufacturing's new YMIR Model 1911 is that it carries a retail price of $6,999. Not many of us can afford to pay that much for a pistol, but if you think of this gun as being a piece of art, one that you can actually use and then pass down to an heir, then maybe the sting of its price is tolerable.Lohman YMIR 1911 Review Handguns
