In his article on .22 rimfire accuracy, beginning on page 50 in this issue, Layne Simpson mentioned the MTM SB-200 Rimfire Ammo Box he used during the months-long shooting test he conducted. I also use an MTM SB-200 Ammo Box when I go to the shooting range because it can hold up to 250 rounds of .22 LR ammo.
MTM Case-Gard is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018 and is still family owned and operated. The company has been innovative in its approach to the shooting sports. All products are either designed as a solution to a problem an employee has encountered or at the request of MTM customers. The results are quality products that do exactly what they are designed to do.
The company’s products are guaranteed for five years, and MTM’s “living hinged” products are guaranteed for 10 years, from date of purchase, unless stated otherwise, when used for purposes described by the company. Should breakage occur, items should be returned directly to MTM Molded Products.
According to MTM, the SB-200 was designed for .22 rifle small-bore competitors, varmint hunters, and plinkers. The box comfortably holds 100 rounds in the down position for easy access during competition. Additionally, space in the center is available to hold up to three 50-round boxes. The company says the SB-200 has recently been retooled, and now up to 150 .17 HMR rounds also will fit. The SB-200 is offered in blue and rust colors.
