Brownells AR-15 Barrel

Brownells, supplier of gunsmithing tools and firearms accessories, has just released its own, 16-inch M-4-style barrel for AR-15 rifles.

The new carbine barrel is made of 4140 chrome-moly steel, hardened to RC 26-33, and stress relieved.

Twist rate is one turn in 7 inches, and the muzzle end is threaded 1/2 inch 28 tpi for a flash hider.

M4 feedramps provide reliable feeding into the 5.56 NATO chamber.

The finish is dark gray Parkerizing.

It comes without a front sight housing/gas block or a flash hider/muzzle brake.

MSRP is $220.
