Mossberg Teams Up With Patrick Flanigan

Xtreme Sport Shooter to Push the Limit with Mossberg Shotguns.

North Haven, CT--O.F. Mossberg & Sons, a leader in the design and manufacturing of hunting, shooting sports, youth, military and law enforcement firearms for over 90 years is excited to announce the sponsorship of Xtreme Sport Shooter Patrick Flanigan. In this exciting new partnership, Flanigan will begin using Mossberg shotguns in all aspects of his exciting style of shooting and as he pursues numerous world records. He will also work with Mossberg to introduce fast paced shooting sports to a new generation of shooters.

Patrick Flanigan has taken the shooting world by storm as he continues to break one world record after another. He first experienced his love for shooting and the outdoors at the young age of 6 and has turned that passion into a career. In 2006, Patrick Flanigan set the world record with a pump-action shotgun in Xtreme Sport Shooting. As an eight-time world record holder, he continues to push the limits of this sport. On October 22, 2010, Flanigan shattered his previous world record, breaking 7 clay targets thrown by hand, shot individually from the hip with a Mossberg 500 pump-action shotgun while filming Shooting USA's Impossible Shots. Flanigan comments, "This was one of the most difficult records for me in terms of technical difficulty; however, it was the fastest I have ever set a record with a new gun. I had my Mossberg 500 for less than 24 hours with only a few rounds fired attempting to get familiarized with my gun. The cameras were rolling, the pressure was on and, well, the rest is history." Flanigan also timed his new Mossberg 930 semi-auto shotgun with intervals of a round per tenth of a second, which matches or beats some of his current records.

Flanigan explained that he has teamed up with Mossberg because they offer the three things he looks for in a shotgun: reliability, speed and natural accuracy. "I found all of that and much more with the first trigger-pull of my new Mossberg shotguns. All shooters, whether professional, rookie, or avid sportsmen, need to have a strong sense of confidence when they uncase their shotguns to challenge the field or shooting course. I not only feel a strong sense of confidence, but an even stronger sense of pride and honor because the Mossberg guns I shoot are stamped 'Made in USA', and that is how I spell real confidence."

Tom Taylor, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, comments, "We are extremely excited that Patrick Flanigan is now part of the Mossberg Team. Patrick pushes himself and his guns to the limit to achieve his goals. He brings an exciting and aggressive style to Xtreme Shooting and we are confident that he has chosen the right guns for his grueling requirements."

Mossberg strives to create innovative shotguns for the hunter and avid shooter, with designs that optimize accuracy, reliability and function. The company also continues to focus on the next generation, offering the most extensive line youth firearms. Now, through Flanigan's enthusiasm and fresh outlook, they will continue that emphasis on the need to encourage youth education and involvement in hunting and shooting sports.

Look for Patrick Flanigan and his new Mossberg shotguns on TV, in live performances, and throughout the Xtreme Sport Shooting world as he puts these guns to the ultimate test.
