Savage 555 Sporting Shotguns Now Come In Additional Calibers

The Savage Arms now offers the Stevens 555 Sporting over/under shotgun in 20 gauge and .410 bore and the 555 Sporting Compact in 12 and 20 gauge as well as .410 bore.

Savage Arms is excited to announce that models 555 Sporting and 555 Sporting Compact are now shipping. The 555 Sporting is now available in 20 gauge and .410 bore, with the 555 Sporting Compact now being offered in 12 gauge, 20 gauge and .410 bore. Savage is thrilled to offer these new additions to the over-under lineup that will add value to the sporting clays and trap leagues.

“We’re excited to bring even more to our over/under lineup,” said Beth Shimanski, director of marketing at Savage Arms. “The 555 Sporting and 555 Sporting Compact offer new features that will provide shooters with a competitive advantage, and the additional calibers offer even more variety for our Savage customer.”

The 555 Sporting and 555 Sporting Compact offer users a lightweight aluminum alloy receiver that is scaled to gauge and incorporates a steel insert that reinforces the breech–minimizing weight and maximizing strength.

The 555 Sporting Features

  • 3-inch chamber o/u shotgun
  • Turkish walnut stock and fore-end with adjustable comb height and 14.5-inch length-of-pull
  • Raised ventilated rib with mid-bead rear sight and fiber-optic front sight     
  • Lightweight aluminum alloy silver receiver
  • 30-inch (20 ga.) and 28-inch (.410) ported barrels for recoil reduction
  • Manual safety
  • Single selective mechanical trigger
  • Chrome-lined barrels
  • Tang-mounted safety
  • Manual extractor
  • Includes 5 extended Chokes (F,IM, M, IC, C)
